I’ll admit it. I’m that girl that can’t go to the corner shop without a face of make up on. I dread the thought of having to answer the door with a naked face. To help with my insecurities I wear make up almost everyday. This seems like a lot of products to use for everyday use but I’m an all or nothing kind of girl. If I’m going to put make up on I might as well look the best I can. These are my everyday go to make up products.
I don’t often use a primer, I either use a suncream or a moisturiser to start off with. For my brows I use L’oreal brow pencil in Dark Brown. It has an eraser on the other end if you make a mistake and a little brush to comb your brows with on the lid. I think it’s so useful.
For my make up look my eyes are the main focal point and my go to look is always a brown smokey eye. To create that seamingless blend I use the Real Techniques Brushes. They are so good and affordable. My main mascara at the moment is the MAC overcurl mascara, I spoke about this in my July Favourites post. Again I use MAC for my liquid eyeliner. This eyeliner does not budge! I mean DOES NOT BUDGE! The only problem is if you go wrong you’re going to struggle getting it off but take your time and your liner will look flawless all day. When creating my perfect smokey eye, I always reach for my ZOEVA Naturally Yours palette. It has all the colours I need and again, I spoke about this in my July Favourites post. Depending on my mood, I’ll either go for a subtle smokey eye or dark and dramatic. To achieve my desired look I use Real Techniques eye blending brushes and MAC eyeshadow brushes.
I’m all about that base… I have been using L’Oréal’s True Match foundation for a few months now, it blends so well and doesn’t feel heavy or cakey on my skin. I love the packaging too it looks so sleek and high end. I use the shade Golden Ivory. Recently I’ve started using L’Oréal’s Infallible Total Cover Foundation shade Porcelain mixed in with it. It’s so high coverage and really conceals every blemish but as it is a thick foundation it’s not the easiest to blend but together with the True Match they are a dream team. For a flawless look I use the High Definition blending sponge.
Now I’ve done my eyes and base, it’s time to bronze and contour. I use the NYX Contour & Highlight Palette. Let’s talk about how amazing this palette is for a moment… I brought it over a year ago and there is barely a dent! The highlight is POPPING, the contour colour is so natural looking and the formula makes it so easy to blend. With the range of shades it’s suitable for near enough everyone. Run out of a shade? Refill from Boots for £3.50. Again to blend, I use Real Techniques brushes.
Let’s get onto my best bit (don’t worry we’re nearly finished). I love a bright under eye. For my everyday look, I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in shade Fair 1. You can read my Concealer Reviews post to find out why I love this one so much. As it’s only £4 I don’t mind being generous with it and using it all the time because it’s not going to break the bank to replace it. I dab it into a seamingless blend using the Real Techniques Mini Miracle Sponge.
To lock in my make up and to make my face more skin like, I spritz the Maybelline Superstay 24HR Setting Spray. This removes excess powder keeps my look fresher for longer. For the finishing touches, I apply MAC lip liner in Bodly Bare and coat my lips in MAC’s Honey shade lipstick.
That’s it for my everyday go-to look. What are your favourite products? Let me know in the comments.
