Barry M Liquid Highlighter Review

The new Barry M liquid highlighter drops review.
If you read my Drugstore Beauty Haul you’ll know I purchased this highlighter after lusting over similar ones with a much higher price tag. When ASOS announced Barry M was launching their own liquid highlighter I knew I had to snap it up.

I purchased the shade Beam Me Up as it seemed the most suitable for my skin tone. The highlighter is a beautiful rose gold colour with a champagne sparkle. It comes in a lovely glass bottle with a squeeze tip applicator, looks very high end. At only £6.99 it’s a fraction of the price of the Iconic Illuminating Drops.

The highlighting drops also come in…

With one swatch the highlighter looks very intense and shimmery. You only need a small amount and you can build it up from a subtle shimmer to a more fierce gleam. I’m in love with the colour and so excited to wear this on my face.

For an all over glow you can rub this into your skin or use it with your foundation/ moisturiser. The product has light reflecting particles that will make you shine bright like a diamond.

Once I’d finished applying my make up, I dipped a blending sponge into the highlighter and starting applying it to my cheek bones. The highlighter seemed difficult to blend with the sponge and started looking streaky so I had to use my hands. This doesn’t bother me but it may be an annoyance to some. I used a brush and applied the highlighter to the arch of my brows. The application was slightly easier with a brush but still not the easiest to blend. However, the glow was amazing. It really adds an extra dimension to your make up.

I locked in my make up with the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray. The intensity of the glow lasted a few hours before it started to fade. Although after seven hours you could still see the glow and shimmer.

Whether you’re into a dewy glow or a blinding highlight, I’d recommend this product if you want to try a liquid highlighter. I don’t feel so bad if I squeeze too much out as I would have if I had wasted a £30 highlighter.

Well that’s my take on the Barry M Highlighting Drops, has anyone else tried it? I hope you enjoyed this review. Thanks for reading XOXO.
