Anti- Haul | Make Up I Won’t Be Buying

img_2604

These are make up and beauty items I won’t be buying. I don’t want to offend anyone by saying I don’t want these products, they are just not for me, everyone is different. I’ve seen quite a few bloggers do an anti-haul post and thought it would be interesting to do one of my own. Seeing as we’re so close to Christmas, extravagent shopping sprees and over indelgence is the norm so it’s always nice to take a step back and make more thoughtful purchase desicions. Some of the items in this anti-haul are really pretty but I don’t want to waste money on products I will never use.

What’s In A Name Rose Brush Set from Storybook Cosmetics

The moment I saw these brushes there was a voice in my head screaming no. I’m easily pleased and simple products are all I ask for. They seem awkward to use and would take up a fair bit of space in my brush holders. This set is £45.00 which is fairly expensive too.

Velour Liquid Lipsticks from Jeffree Star Cosmetics

I can’t imagine a time where I would ever wear a bright blue lipstick. From the child like packaging, to the actual brand, there’s nothing about these lipsticks I like. From what people have said Jeffree Star is a racist and a nasty person so I wouldn’t want to support someone like that. At £16.00 per lipstick these are pretty pricey for something that looks like it comes as a free gift in a kid’s magazine.

Moonchild Glow Kit from Anastasia Beverly Hills

There’s so many products from Anastasia Beverly Hills that I would love to own. The only reason I wouldn’t buy this particular highlighting palette is that I would only use 3 out of 6 of the shades. For £41.00 I want to love every shade.

Frog Prince Lip And Cheek Set from Lipstick Queen

The lipstick could change to the most perfect nude ever and I still wouldn’t buy this set. I really don’t understand these cosmetics that change colour, what’s the point? That green shade looks gross and really off-putting. I wouldn’t take these if they were given to me for free, never mind paying £32.00 for them.

Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette from Urban Decay

What make up lover doesn’t lust over the Urban Decay palettes? I’m no exception. However, this palette would get a no from me. I don’t understand why they have put the mirror right in the middle, seems a bit awkward and unnecessary. This Heavy Metals palette doesn’t include any mattes which is what I tend to go for the most and wouldn’t get much use out of this. I wouldn’t want to pay £43.00 for a palette I’m not in love with.

35T Colour Taupe Palette from Morphe

My only issue with this palette is that almost all the shades are identical. I like variety in my palettes and want to experiment with different colours. This is boring to look out and wouldn’t excite me. At £23.00 this is a good price for a pigmented palette but just isn’t my cup of tea. I could see why people would purchase this though.

That’s it for my anti-haul. These posts are just a bit of fun and not meant to insult anyone. They do make me second guess any beauty purchases and help me to save money in the long run. I hope you enjoyed reading this, are there any products you would avoid? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading XOXO.
