NARS Radiant Longwear Foundation Review

New on the scene is this Radiant Longwear Foundation from NARS, evolved from the much loved Radiant Creamy Concealer, this has a lot to live up to. The foundation claims to be fade resistant, lightweight and high coverage, as well as being radiant and long lasting. After loving the NARS Radiant Concealer, I was keen to try the foundation, as I’m always on the look out for my next holy grail product. The shade I went for was OSLO.

“Introducing NARS’ first 16-hour foundation that stays turned on by the power of radiance. Untraceable. Unstoppable. Unlike anything else. Longwear is finally lightweight—and radiant. High coverage is now super natural. Its breathable, fade-resistant formula is infused with Raspberry, Apple, and Watermelon extracts to help smooth and improve the look of your skin instantly, and over time for full-powered radiance. It wears longer, stays stronger, and looks better with each hour. Specialized skin-matching technology ensures your truest match yet. Your future looks radiant with Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation.” -NARS Cosmetics

As usual, I’ll start the evaluation with the packaging. The appearance of the bottle looks very high end and expensive, which is what you would expect from NARS. I love the glass bottle and the black lid, it’s very minimalistic and chic. It has a squeeze pump applicator which is my preferred method for applying foundation.

On first swatch, the foundation is very creamy and feels soft on my skin. Its blends so easily and provides good coverage. I can’t wait to apply it to my face and see the results.

This photo was taken after I had used my daily moisturiser. I usually put a primer on before I apply foundation but to test the foundation in various ways, on this occasion I decided not to.  I have combination skin, so parts of my face can get quite oily. Using a  beauty sponge, I blended the foundation onto my face.

It provided medium to full coverage and managed to conceal the majority of the redness on my face. I normally use a green colour correcting concealer but I wanted to trial the effectiveness of the foundation. You can build the coverage up even further, however I think one layer is sufficient as a little goes a long way.

At the end of the day, the foundation was still in place and still provided good coverage. It didn’t feel cakey and I wasn’t itching to take my make up off which is usually the case. There was a slight shine to my face although it was very minor. My skin still felt smooth and soft. However, I would purchase the next darkest shade next time as this one was a tad too light for me.

  • Long lasting
  • Doesn’t feel cakey
  • Good coverage
  • Blends easily
  • Only need a little
  • Feels creamy and smooth
  • Comes in 33 shades
  • Beautiful packaging

  • Could be higher coverage
  • Expensive

Overall, I would repurchase this foundation again if I could get a decent discount on it (read my haul post to find how much I paid). If you’re interested in buying this product, you can purchase the foundation from here.

Have you tried this foundation, what did you think? I hope you enjoyed this review. Thanks for reading XOXO.
